When manufacturers have errors during the manufacturing process that isn’t significant enough to throw out the disc they will then label the discs as X-Outs or Factory Seconds and sell these discs as a discount. Discs are typically classified as Factory Seconds (often known as F2’s) because of coloring issues, or foreign substances that enter the mix during the manufacturing process.
