The Griffon is an easy-to-throw, understable disc golf midrange disc that is ideal for new players or for anhyzer and shots that you want to finish right. If you’re a new player with throws that seem to fade too early every time, a disc like this might help you get that throw straightened out. Check out the rest of the XCOM Discs and our blog.
This is an understable mid that is perfect for beginners. When I throw it, I have to really tone it down to get it to hold the anny line without burning into the ground. Personally, it won't help me out much since I'm more of an intermediate player- but for brand new players this disc is probably one of the best discs to throw. It's light weight and understability are perfect for slow arms.
It is really hard for one mid-range to stand above others when really, they're designed to do some very basic things-- get you across the shorter stretches of fairway with precision. I liked the Griffin for this-- it has a very slight fade, but not too much. It isn't too flippy or too overstable. It does come in a pretty light weight, so it is a good option for beginners who want a mid-range to go around objects, but that isn't too hard to throw.
