Types of Disc Golf Discs
Distance Drivers – High Speed discs with an aerodynamic shape designed for maximum distance. Distance drivers cut through the air faster than traditional frisbees which gives them potential for more distance. Distance drivers have a tendency to drift or “fade” substantially at the end of the flight.
Fairway Drivers – Fast disc golf discs designed for distance and control. A fairway driver has more potential to stay straight than a distance driver.
Midrange Discs – Moderate speed discs that provide less end of flight fade and control without flying too far.
Putters – Slow flying discs designed to provide maximum control at short distances. Putters are the easiest golf discs to get a straight flight with.
