Marshall Street Disc Golf is one of the OGs in the online disc golf world. They were out there slinging plastic on the internet way back in 2004—back when most people still thought “streaming” had something to do with rivers. Their original lineup? A modest five brands: Innova, Discraft, Gateway, Lightning, and DGA (and yes, Aerobie too, because apparently someone was asking for an eliptical-shaped driver?).
Founded by Jason Southwick and none other than Steve Dodge—yes, the same Steve Dodge who convinced Vibram to produce disc golf discs, started the Disc Golf Pro Tour, and is TD of the Maple Hill Open—Marshall Street has a serious pedigree. And while their website may still look like it’s hosted on Windows 95, don’t let the pixelated charm fool you. Under that vintage surface lies a site that’s been upgraded (a little), and jam-packed with plastic.

Marshall Street runs on WordPress—just like OTB. But for some reason, it still feels like you’re shopping from your grandma’s dial-up AOL account. Maybe it’s the fonts. Maybe it’s the logo. Maybe it’s their unwavering loyalty to web design principles from the MySpace era. Still, there’s something endearing about it. It’s like that rundown pizza joint that looks like a health code violation but serves the best slice in town. Nobody new is going to touch it, but those who were around to experience the early days…
The Whole “We Weigh Every Disc” Thing…
Now, Marshall Street is loud and proud about one thing: “WE WEIGH EVERY DISC.” It’s in their logo, and they slap that watermark on their photos like it’s a badge of honor. Cool, we guess? I’m guessing back in the day—when Marshall Street had no online competitors—manufacturers had issues with the weights they listed on some of their discs. But over the last decade, the manufacturer-listed weights are pretty spot-on. So unless you’re doing quantum disc physics, are you really going to notice that 1-gram variance? And was Marshall Street’s scale really better than the high-tech machinery used at MVP and Latitude 64?
Sure, it’s nice to know the disc you’re ordering weighs 174.3 grams instead of a suspiciously round 175. But let’s not pretend this is the be-all-end-all of disc buying. There’s more to flight than weight—like dome, parting line height, plastic flex, and your wildly inconsistent form.
Brand Buffet: Marshall Street Has Got It All (Almost)
Marshall Street stocks nearly 60 brands. That’s more than any other disc golf retailer we’ve compared so far, including Foundation, OTB, and 1010 Discs.
