Flight Factory vs DDG Head to HEad

Flight Factory Discs is a solid disc golf company with a slick website and some cool custom stamps. Based out of Pensacola, Florida, they’ve made a name for themselves sponsoring top-tier pros like Calvin Heimburg and offering a nice lineup of discs, apparel, and accessories. Props to them.

They attemted to kick things off in 2018 but didn’t really get going until late 2020 when they leaned hard into Prodigy Discs. (A bold choice being that that’s about the time where Prodigy really started to lose momentum.)  Flight Factory wisely diversified. They now carry over 31 brands and a wide range of molds—including all the ones in our comparison (only disc golf retailer thus far! We did have to make a few swaps for fair apple-to-apple matchups).

And let’s give credit where it’s due: their site is fast, clean, and well-organized. But when it comes to price? Oof. They’re not just flying—they’re soaring above and beyond. Flight Factory ranks right up there with the most expensive retailers in disc golf: Foundation Discs, OTB, Disc Golf Deals USA… that elite “premium pricing” club.

But does Flight Factory have promo codes?

Surely with prices this high, there’s got to be a way to save at checkot with discount codes right?

Yes, Flight Factory does use discount codes. In fact, they currently have a promo code—Worlds25—that gives you free shipping. Sounds nice… but let’s be honest, their prices are so high the shipping cost is already baked in. Free shipping is never really free. Somebody’s covering that postage.

If you’re only buying one disc—and it’s something like an MVP where we can sell no lower than MAP pricing—you might squeak out a tiny savings over DDG with that code, and for that one disc.

But the second you add another disc? Yeah… game over. Get like five discs for the same price with us.

TL;DR

Flight Factory is a great disc golf store with a pleasant vibe and high-flying prices. If you want to support them, go for it—we’re fans of healthy competition. But if you’re the kind of disc golfer who likes saving real money, getting everyday low prices, and still scoring free shipping? Stick with DDG.

And this week, you can use our National Disc Golf Day promo code to knock 10% off your entire order—no overpriced gimmicks required.
