Discount Disc Golf vs Disc Golf Deals USA

Disc Golf Deals USA is one of the top online disc golf retailers. They began in Charlotte, North Carolina—a mecca for disc golf—but are now based out of Columbus, Ohio (because… I have no idea). They are one of the fastest-growing online retailers that emerged during the pandemic boom, launching their online store in early 2021—a time when new disc golf companies struggled to get their hands on inventory. Despite the challenges, Disc Golf Deals USA managed to carve out a space in the market and has grown significantly, advertising with the Disc Golf Pro Tour advertising, paid Google ads, and Search Engine Optimization. Based on online traffic, Disc Golf Deals USA is certainly one of the top 10 disc golf retailers and likely in the top five, just behind OTB Discs.

Now, about their website. In my opinion, their logo looks like it was pulled straight from an early 2000s clip art collection. But hey, I’m no expert in logo design, and their impressive sales growth proves you don’t need a good logo to have sucdess! Their site runs on the Shopify platform, just like most disc golf stores (including us), and they stock at least 34 different disc golf brands—far more than most competitors, and claim to have over 30,000 discs in stock. They’re also pretty active in business and marketing, and I’ll give them credit for running a solid disc golf blog with news about pro players and general disc golf tips.

Are Their “Deals” Actually Deals?

Their name includes “Deals,” so they must be cheap, right? Well… deals are relative. Compared to your average brick-and-mortar shop, sure, Disc Golf Deals USA is inexpensive. But how do they stack up against Discount Disc Golf—the REAL disc golf outlet store?

We ran the same price comparison we used for Amazon last week, picking one mold from each of our top 22 disc golf brands, flat-out comparing our prices with theirs. When Disc Golf Deals didn’t stock the exact disc, we found the closest substitute. And these, my friends, are the cold, hard, money-saving results:

Final Verdict? Discount Disc Golf Wins. Again.

The DDG price is better than DGD on EVERY disc in our sample base. You’re guaranteed to save at least 10% compared to Disc Golf Deals USA, with an average savings of 19.05%. That’s real savings—not just marketing fluff.

Disc Golf Deals does offer free shipping when you spend more than $50, compared to our free shipping at just $35. But hey, at their prices, it’s pretty much the same number of discs, right? So, when you look at it that way, our free shipping threshold is basically the same. The only difference is that you’ll have $15 more cash in your pocket by shopping with us.

Where the Comparison Got a Little Tricky

Now, in the interest of fairness:

  • DGD doesn’t sell Doomsday Discs, RPM, Viking, or Yikun Discs—all brands we love. So if you’re a fan of those, Disc Golf Deals USA just isn’t the store for you.
  • On the flip side, DGD USA does carry a few brands that we don’t (yet), including Climo Discs, Millennium, Mint Discs, Elevation, Loft, EV-7, and Trash Panda. If you’re a fan of those brands, we’ll even give them a shameless plug right here. But hey, if there’s enough demand, maybe we’ll add the most popular molds from those brands to our lineup. Let us know!
  • DGD didn’t have any Gold Line Ballistas in stock at the time of comparison, but they did have other Ballista options. We used their usual Gold Line plastic pricing ($18.99) to keep things fair.
  • They also didn’t stock the Divergent Discs Kraken (our TOP seller of 2024). Instead, they stock the Divergent Discs Golem, so we used that instead. Fun fact: At the time of posting, the Golem is actually on sale for just $6.50 on our site—but to keep things balanced, we used the normal $12.99 price in our comparison.
  • DGD stocks only three different Legacy Disc molds. Last week, we used the Rival for comparison, but since they didn’t have it, we swapped it for the Outlaw this week. And surprise, surprise—we still saved you a ton of money.

Conclusion: A Pretty Good Store, But Not the Best Deals

Overall, Disc Golf Deals USA is a good online disc golf store. They promote disc golf, support the pro tour, and offer an excellent selection of brands. But… they should probably change their name to something like “Disc Golf Pretty Good Store With a Good Selection USA.”

Because if you’re actually looking for deals, their prices don’t even come close to what you’ll find at Discount Disc Golf.

Plus, they don’t have our daily deals, bulk savings sets, or weekly promotions that let you save even more on disc golf. Speaking of which, did you know you can save an additional 14% off of everything this week with our Valentines day promo code.

So yeah, if you want a decent selection, Disc Golf Deals USA is fine. But if you want the best prices, real deals, and extra savings, you know where to shop. 😉
